4 Different Ways You Can Get Free Golf Lessons

Is it possible to find free golf lessons? Yes it is, and here are four different ways you can get them.

Golfing is something that takes a ton of practice in order to succeed with, but also something that requires a lot of instruction if you’re to grasp the finer points of the game as well.  You’ll find that you really can’t just pick up and play the game and hope to get anywhere.  But rather, you need to ensure that you’re getting some type of instruction, so that you can learn a bit more about the game and what can make you a better or worse golfer.  But that instruction can really cost you, which is why sometimes finding free golf lessons is the most ideal solution.

If you’re looking to succeed in the sport you obviously need lessons, but even just taking on lessons for just a few days from a clinic is going to cost you hundreds of dollars.  That’s a problem for many, and not everybody has the hundreds or thousands that are required for you to actually get these types of instruction.  That’s why there are actually a ton of free options out there that can really help you out, and ensure that you’re still able to learn everything that you need without actually having to spend a fortune.

Here are a few great options when it comes to getting free golf lessons, and what you can do to learn more for less;

1. Look for a local free PGA lesson.

There are PGA centers for training up golf and giving people lessons all over the place.  You’re going to find that they always have a special promotion going throughout May in which you can get a free ten minute lesson.  That might not sound like much, but it is a good amount of time where you can pick up a few things, including what you need to know regarding grip as well as some mechanics to do with your swing as well.  That way at least you can start the foundation of your golfing ability, and you can do so totally for free.

2. Look at local golf schools or courses.

You’re going to find that several different types of schools and clinics are going to have free or cheap instruction promotions all the time.  This way, you’ll find that you can actually ensure that you’re able to get one or two free golf lessons, so that you can find out a bit more about how to play the game.  You’re going to find that getting golf lessons this way may not be the most comprehensive way for you to learn the sport, and may leave something to be desired considering the training period is so short.  Even a session that only lasts a few hours can improve your golf game like you wouldn’t believe.

3. Check out what’s on offer at your local library.

If you’re looking for ideal free golf lessons for a book or even DVD why not try the local library right?  You’re going to find that here you can find a wealth of different types of instructional aids that are going to be able to guide you through the process.  Usually you can find one or two great books, and you should even be able to find a great quality DVD or two so long as your library provides those.  While the selection should be limited, you should be able to find something that’s going to work.

4. Look online.

Whether you’re looking for pointers at the beginning of your golf playing hobby, or if you’re looking to train up when it comes to different types of skills like driving, chipping, or anything of the sort.  Sites like Youtube.com or GolfTV.com can actually be some of your best possible options.  Through both you can find all sorts of videos totally free, that are going to give you all sorts of great pointers and instruction that are really going to help you out.

Of course you’ll find that the quality of what you’re getting here is not so much going to be exactly what you’re going to find from a professional caliber instructor.  You’re going to find however that it’s still something, and can be a great asset for developing your feel for the game, if not actually improving you to the status of Tiger Woods anytime soon.  But no free golf lessons are bad ones, so they are a great opportunity anyway.
