4 Top Golf Instruction Tips To Help Your Game

Getting better and better at golf is a mater of learning the tips that can help you become the best golfer you can become.  With the right types of golf instruction tips, you can ensure that you’re able to clean up the parts of your game that are seeing your score overly high at the end of each round.  In fact, there are probably quite a few things that you’re doing, that you don’t even realize without proper instruction.  But here are 4 golf clubs tips that can aid you in getting your game that much more fine tuned, and fast.

1) Focus on as smooth a swing as possible.

This is of absolute importance, because any amount of jerking or a lack of flow on your swing is going to see you generating less power, but is also going to ruin your ability to actually hit the ball squarely.  You want to be sure that you’re really able to smack the ball properly, and you can’t do that if your arms are spinning or jerking uncontrollably. 

That’s why you want to practice with slow and steady hits first off, by just going through the motion.  Doing this a few times gives you a feel for how it actually is to have a smooth and even swing.  That way, you can speed up practicing the same type of discipline, and be sure that you are ready to keep the same principles in play with a full speed swing.  This is going to see you hitting the ball farther and much more straight than ever before.

2) Make sure you’re standing in the proper alignment.

When you’re trying to generate true power throughout your swing, the worst thing that you can do is be standing in the wrong type of position. One of the most vital golf clubs tips is standing as squarely as humanly possible before you’re about to hit the ball.  The best way to judge this is by imagining a straight line from the ball jutting out between your legs. In fact, it can also help to put down a measuring device or a club in that position, so that you can be sure you’re able to get your feet parallel.

Ideally, you want your feet to be parallel on either side of the  line, evenly spread apart.  The knees should be bent slightly, and you want to be sure that you’re far enough back that you can hold the club in it’s standard position for your grip.  This way, you’re readily to generate maximum power and control.

3) Finding a comfortable grip for your swing.

There are a few different types of grips, and it’s important that you follow the different golf grip tips that are going to make sure you’re holding a club correctly . For that you want to try each of the three grip types, to be sure you find one that’s as comfortable and natural as possible:


This is a grip by which your hands actually overlap from your right pinkie, to your left index finger.  This is a firm grip that allows for maximum control over the club, and that’s also going to generate a lot of power.


This is a grip by which instead of your pinkie and index finger actually overlapping, they are meant to interlock, to form a much more firm and stable grip on the club than you would have otherwise.

This is where both hands are put side by side, but there is no interlocking or overlapping of the hands.  Usually this is the easiest type of system to start off with, and ensures that you’re going to feel more comfortable getting used to how it feels to swing a golf club.  This is also the preferred grip of first timers, because it feels a lot more natural in most cases.

4) Stop slicing the ball.

A slice is one of the biggest problems that most golfers have to face and overcome, because of how you naturally end up trying to swing the club.  The whole idea with a golf swing is to pull the club back, and then force it forward with power and return to the starting position at the same time, so that you get a really good and head on connection.  However, at the beginning when you’re just learning the sport you have a tendency to open up the face of the club, that’s going to lead to the ball being sliced, or having too much negative spin put on the outside.  Typically you can fix this with a more firm grip, so it’s important to practice holding the club tightly, but not too tightly.
