Adding Sun Protection Hats And Clothing To Your Golf Gear Bag

Sun protection hats are a necessity on golf courses today. Here's why you should make sure to wear them when golfing.

Ever suffered a major sunburn while you’ve been out on the course for a few hours with your friends, despite having worn sun screen on all of your exposed skin?  That happens to the best of us, just because not many people realize the sun can still burn you through most clothing.  The only way to avoid this is through the right types of sun protection hats and clothes, so that you can be sure you’re able to avoid all of those harmful UV rays.  A sport like golf can be rough on the skin in that respect, because you spend hours out there teeing off, with no protection from the sun and no shade to speak of.

Finding the right types of protective hats and shirts really isn’t that difficult either, as UV protection has been all the rage with all sorts of different types of clothing.  All you have to do is pick a type and a brand that you enjoy the most, and you’re assured of having the type of protection that you can really count on.  There are basically three areas of the body that you want to provide protection to, and with the aide of women’s and men’s sun protection clothing, you can be sure that you’re going to be spared.

1) Get your head covered appropriately.

You have to be sure that you find the right type of sun protection hats first off, to protect both your face, as well as the top of your head.  Just because you have hair doesn’t mean the sun can’t cut through the open space to give you a good burn on your scalp, and that’s something you really don’t want.  Moreover, areas like your face are really unprotected unless you provide some portable shade in the form of a hat.

Plus you can find all sorts of different types of hats to suit your own personal style.  This way, you can still be sure that you have something totally comfortable for when you’re out on the course.  Whether you’re looking for your classic baseball cap style, or even just a visor for minimum but still reliable protection.  You’ll also find that you can pick up wide brim hats, or hats with flaps down the sides to protect your neck better as well, which is an area that can be left vulnerable in some cases.

2) Find a shirt that can repel the rays.

Beyond just your hats, you need sun protection clothing that can protect your upper body as well, so it’s important that you have a shirt that can provide you with some coverage.  That means going above and beyond what you’re going to find from a standard shirt, and you want those with special UV blocking fabrics.  This provides you with two things, number one those harmful UV rays are not going to get to your skin where they can do you some damage.  Then number two, they are also a lot harder to fade, so you can be sure the color that you chose today will be just as bright a year from now.

3) Finish up with some pants to be sure your legs stay safe too.

Just as you want to get a good shirt, you have to be sure that you’ve got your legs covered, and that’s why having the right pair of pants or shorts is so important.  You want to have UV blocking materials here as well, so that you can be sure you’re going to be totally safe.  You’ll find that there are all sorts of different types of pants out there designed to provide you with protection.  But what’s more, you’ll also find that you can still take advantage of great sporty golf styles from the top brands.

Both Adidas and Nike as well as Callaway make this fantastic UV resistant sun protection clothing, so that you can be sure you’re able to keep your skin and your head safe.  Whether you’re looking for hats, shirts or pants, you can find just what you’re looking for.  Plus Nike has the UV resistant qualities mixed in with their Dry-FIT technology, just as Adidas has it with their Climalite tech, so that you can also ensure your clothes are lightweight and have that sweat wicking sporty appeal.  Whether you’re looking for sun protection hats, shirts or pants, these are the right choices for any golfer.
