Arizona National Golf Club

The Arizona National golf course lies in a beautiful landscape in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, close to the Coronado National Forest. This provides it with a stunning backdrop, and the course provides a challenging round of golf. It runs to 6,785 yards in length, is a Par 71, and has a number of excellent golf holes. The Golf Club at Vistoso

Designed by the famous PGA Tour golfer Tom Weiskopf, The Golf Club at Vistoso is another top-rated public Arizona golf course. The meaning of its name is colorful view, and with the course sitting in the area of the Tortolita and Santa Catalina Mountains, there are plenty of beautiful landscapes to take in. This course also opened in 1995, and is a par 72, with the length from the back tees being almost 7,000 yards. Arthur Pack Desert Golf Club

This is an extremely popular public Tucson golf course with locals of the city, and with four tee boxes to choose from it is suitable for anyone from juniors to seniors. The length from the back tees runs to around 6,900 yards and the course plays as a Par 72. The club offers a few useful services such as club rental for those interested in trying the sport, golf cars for getting around, and a driving range for those looking for a place to practice their game. El Rio Golf Course

The El Rio Golf Course is one of the oldest of the Tucson golf courses, with a history dating back to the 1930s. It originally started life as a private country club, although was purchased by the City of Tucson in the 1960s and converted to a public course open to all. It can be a good choice for those new to the sport, having a length of between 6,000 and 6,400 yards depending on which of the tees is played. Westin La Paloma Resort

The Westin La Paloma Resort offers a relaxing place for golfers and non-golfers to spend some time. For those interested in playing some golf, the resort has three 9-hole courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, and these comprise the 3,400, Par 36 Hill Course, the 3,500 yard, Par 36 Canyon Course, and the 3,500 yard, Par 36 Ridge Course. Ventana Canyon – Mountain Course

This golf course is one of two at the Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club, with the holes running up and down the Santa Catalina Mountains, which makes for an interesting round of golf. The course was designed by Tom Fazio and from the back tees runs to around 6,900 yards and plays as a Par 72. There are plenty of stunning desert and mountain views to take in while playing the course, and with a few water hazards and many bunkers to negotiate, it can provide a challenge that any golfer is sure to enjoy.
